We’ve wanted to bring a group to The Netherlands since…forever it seems! Because we’ve always been fascinated by Dutch design, from the remarkable achievements in Dutch arts from the 16th to 18th centuries, to the visionary work created over the past 70 years. Today Dutch design is renowned for its cutting-edge approach to seemingly ordinary issues, often with a knowing touch of humor.
What perhaps isn’t as widely known is that there is significant textile industry in The Netherlands, that is just as forward-thinking as the country’s other design industries. We’ll be visiting factories and studios that create fabrics using both age-old processes and the absolute latest in production techniques. Plus, museum visits, antiquing, and time for sightseeing.
We’ll be based in Amsterdam, in boutique design hotel right on one of the canals. Includes: Seven nights, double-occupancy; breakfast at the hotel; airport transfers to Amsterdam hotel; local Amsterdam transportation to all appointments; transportation to all other appointments and any appointment admission fees.
