Paris, Provence, Venice…

Our first true love is Paris, and we have been exploring all the city has to offer for more than 20 years, so we definitely have some insider secrets to share! We usually schedule two trips a year—one to coincide with DecoOff and another in the fall.

Our trips to Provence are truly something special, as we stay in a gorgeous private mas—with many of our evening meals prepared by a private chef. Highlights include a day-long woad dyeing session, numerous flea market trips, behind-the scenes museum tours, and much more.

We recently added Portugal to our itinerary and we can’t wait return! A week is hardly long enough to fit in all the design riches of Lisbon in the south and Porto to the north, so we’re planning on extending this trip!

Previous destinations including Venice and Scotland are still on our to-be-returned-to list, but unfortunately, we can’t spend our whole lives traveling.

We can’t wait to satisfy our wanderlust once again!

The Netherlands

We’ve wanted to bring a group to The Netherlands since…forever it seems! Because we’ve always been fascinated by Dutch design, from the remarkable achievements in Dutch arts from the 16th to 18th centuries, to the visionary work created over the past 70 years. Today Dutch design is renowned for its cutting-edge approach to seemingly ordinary issues, often with a knowing touch of humor.

What perhaps isn’t as widely known is that there is a significant textile industry in The Netherlands, that is just as forward-thinking as the country’s other design industries. We visit factories and studios that create fabrics using both age-old processes and the absolute latest in production techniques. Plus, museum visits, antiquing, and time for sightseeing.

We’ll explore more than just Amsterdam, allowing us to see the countryside and other design hubs such as Rotterdam and Eindhoven.

London

Our London trip coincides with London Craft Week, which is a fantastic opportunity to see even more designers, makers, and other creative talents. Even with all that LCW has to offer, we still have plenty of unique appointments on our itinerary. Expect an absolutely packed week of studio visits, workshops, and more, all with an emphasis on British craftsmanship & design excellence.
